#140 Nightflyers (1987)

Based on a novel by George R. R. Martin and directed by Robert Collector (Red HeatMemoirs of an Invisible Man), Nightflyers has a lot going for it beginning from a nice poster to really solid set design, well executed special effects, miniature work and the soundtrack.

Something went very wrong along the way up to the point where Collector opted to use a pseudonym when the movie launched.

It's a bad movie that starts a little slow and 30 minutes into the movie it becomes painfully obvious the only event worth looking forward here are the end credits.

I'm having a hard time coming up with any reasons for you to bother with this one other than it features Michael Des Barres (of Murdoc of the MacGyver fame) in one his rare eighties movie roles.
